All of our engraved custom wood signs are carved from Real Western Red Cedar with beautiful, fine-grained fiber and very tight knots - if any at all. When we carve signs that are 11" tall or less, we engrave them from 3/4" Cedar, and signs taller than 11" are custom-made from 1-1/4" laminated Cedar (like a butcher block or a bowling alley lane) for additional strength and stability. Our hand-crafted, engraved wood signs will keep their warm colors ranging from mellow amber, reddish cinnamon, and rich sienna browns if you refresh the original cedar oil-based finish with our exclusive CEDAR HONEY- Finish Refresher.
