All of our custom wood signs are deeply engraved into Real Western Red Cedar with beautiful, fine-grained fiber and very tight knots, if at all. When we craft signs that are 11" tall or less, we engrave them from 3/4" Cedar, and the signs taller than 11" are crafted from 1-1/4" laminated (like a butcher block or a bowling alley lane) Cedar for additional strength and stability.
