Description   CARVED BEAVER WELCOME SIGN Beavers are social Critters. They live in large family groups of monogamous parents, young kits, and yearlings. They are second only to humans in their ability to manipulate their environment. Beavers are among the largest rodents on earth. Their large teeth never stop growing but the constant gnawing on wood keeps their teeth from growing too long. The work of beavers makes them champions at maintaining habitats that are relied on by others. Besides the wetland, beavers create standing dead wood (by downing some trees) which is inhabited by insects, and in turn attracts bird life. Beaver Welcome Signs are friendly.
