GRUNGY WITH BATTENS SIGN
This fella is very primitive. Individual, clunky, one inch boards are assembled with a rear batten strip and solid brass screws. It's not unlike how the old-school barn doors were made. It makes the sign able to be bigger without being so much heavier or as expensive as when we laminate 1-1/2" thick cedar for larger signs.
It's only one sided this way, though. Bottom line - you get more sign for less! Unlike all of our other signs, this clunky guy gets no finish protection at all and come to you looking 100 years old - just let it stay gray. It'll survive just fine - look at the totem poles and west Texas fence posts - it's Western Red Cedar - Natures favorite tree.
Our rustic, hand-carved, and deeply engraved wood signs will keep their warm colors ranging from mellow amber, reddish cinnamon and rich sienna browns if you refresh the finish once a year with our Cedar Wood Treatment & Refresher! Spray it all over (edges face and back) and just let it soak in - it'll only take about 3 minutes.
